Unfortunately, the next morning Maya woke up with crusty eyes. She was crusty all day at daycare, so we decided that we'd better take her to urgent care because she probably had pink eye. Maya had an excellent time at urgent care entertaining the crowd with her smiles, laughs, and throwing of bottles and toys. We were surprised to learn that she had a double ear infection (but no fever or signs of ear pain!) in addition to pink eye. We have since learned the joys of trying to administer eye medication to a baby...she squeezes her eyes shut tight and whips her head away from you. At least we know she's a smart girl! Even worse, Maya HATES the antibiotics (even though it's the good bubble gum flavor!), so we're tormenting her twice a day by forcing her to take it.

Quite a Week!
We've had quite a week! We started it off by going to visit our friends Moe and Carmen and their daughter Lexi last Sunday.
Maya and Lexi were a little more aware of each other than they were the last time we saw them. Any time Maya started crying, Lexi felt sympathetic and joined in. Maya had a great time playing in Lexi's exersaucer.

She is so cute. I love how big her smile is. I can't believe that in 2 months Sam will be sitting on his own....ahhh they grow so fast.
